We had a fantastic full day safari with Elize. Elize is amazing, she has a huge knowledge about Kruger Park and all animals (big, small, ugly…) in the Park. The breakfast and lunch she made for us was delicious, she introduced us to different south african food. Thanks a lot Elize for the amazing day and we will come back for another trip with you.
We did a full day safari guided by Elize. It was absolutely amazing! Elize’s knowledge about Kruger is enormous and her mission is to let you enjoy Kruger and it’s animals as much as possible. I can honoustly say that she succeeded! In the early morning, she picked us up from our lodge right outside Phalaborwa Gate. She prepared everything; blankets and a muesli bar were waiting for us in her safari vehicle and when we arrived at the gate, the only thing we had to do was to sign the permission papers which she had prepared already. Then, the most amazing day of our trip through wonderful South-Africa started. Elize showed us every great spot and knew everything about the hiding spots of the animals. She asked us what animals were on our wish-list, if she had to move her vehicle so we were in the best photo-spot and made sure we had enough drinks. She prepared a breakfast at one of the archeological spots in Kruger and let us try several things which are typically South-African. Lunch was prepared by herself at Letaba Rest Camp and was gorgeous! We were very, very satisfied and enjoyed our Kruger-visit very, very much! Elize had a very big contribution to that! Her efforts were not 100%, but 200%. On top of her professional skills, she is most of all a very kind and lovely person. Absolutely wonderful. We would highly recommend Elize and her Bushbaby Adventures and wouldn’t choose another guide when visiting Kruger again (by the way, take a guide! If you want to enjoy Kruger at it’s best, you really need one!) Onc again: thank you very, very much Elize!!
We spent 2 days with Elize and had a great time. With our 3 children (13;11,5) we enjoyed Elize’s kindness, help and professional skills.
We had such a great safari with Elize. She is very enthousiasme and told us everything about the annimals and nature. When you would like to make a great safari, chose for her!
We’re from the Netherlands and Elize arranged our wonderful wedding in May this year in Olifants camp in Kruger National Park. From the moment she stepped into the wedding project she took the lead and arranged almost everything: different locations, food, bouquet, wedding cake, decorations. Everything was so beautiful and perfect. During the day we didn’t have to do anything but enjoy, she had everything under control. Elize drove us that day to different locations and she really loves the bush and can tell beautiful stories about the animals. She is so enthusiastic and she really ran the extra mile to make it our perfect day in the bush. It was even better than perfect! The beautiful pictures that Elize took are a reminder of our special day. We’re so happy she came on our path! Thank you so much Elize, you got a special place in our hearts!
We were in the Kruger National Park without a vehicle and Elize with her Bushbaby Adventures was a God send! She took the time to meet us the day before, chart the safari based on what we wanted to see and planned every detail of it. On the day of the safari, Elize was so patient to explain every small detail like a Mopani tree or a community spider web, showed us a lot of rare birds, helped us with information on them, animals – of course, explaining interesting facts as we sighted them. The lovely South African food that came along was so delicious too! It was such a fun-filled, educative safari that we will remember it for a long long time.
Elize guided our family through the Kruger Park for a day and a half. It was well worth the money, she went through a lot much trouble to make this special for us. She even came to meet us the night before, although we stayed a troublesome & bumpy ride away. The day itself was characterized by real African/Afrikaner hospitality & many many treats :), from amarula coffee at breakfast to the vetkoek especially baked by Elize’s husband for lunch, from amarula nuts and jellies to demonstrate the versatility of the amarula tree to biltong and especially bakes game sausage rolls. The sightings were great, but all the little stories and facts Elize told in between were even better. We could not have hoped for a better introduction to the Kruger Park!
We (altogether 4 people from Germany, India and Columbia) did a private full-day safari with Elize a couple of weeks ago and I finally found the time to write a little review. Elize is a wonderful guide: charming, very helpful, enthusiastic and, most importantly, knowledgeable. The great time we had at Kruger Park we almost entirely owed to her. Despite harsh conditions (rainy, windy, cold) we could make the most of our trip. Elize had blankets ready for us, a lovely breakfast and local, exotic lunch snacks – she even offered to change cars for us when it seemed to get too cold. With this weather (including a rapid decrease in temperature compared to the previous days) it was obvious that it was going to be rather difficult to spot animals – which we nevertheless did. Among others, we saw giraffes, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, impalas, hyenas, blue wildebeests, kudus, buffalo, vervet monkeys, jackals, bushbucks, waterbucks and various types of birds. The fact that I still remember the names all of these animals, many of which I had neither seen nor heard before, speaks for itself. We all learned a lot during our trip, even about trees (Marula Tree,…) and how Kruger Park functions. On top of that Elize helped us in any imaginable way: booking our accommodation within Kruger Park, recommending lodges just outside of it, picking us up early in the morning from Letaba camp to drive us to our bus station in Phalaborwa, filling out the forms for our night drive and so on. To sum up, we had a lovely time, spotting countless animals, learned a lot and had tons of fun. All this makes me want to come back to Kruger – hoping that Elize will then be our guide once again.
Thank-you Bushbaby Adventures Tours, Safaris, Transfers & Photography for an unforgettable overnight safari. Not only was the trip an incredible wildlife viewing adventure, but the information given about the fauna and flora was accurate and informative. Our guide also took into consideration our personal interests on the game drives. Thank-you Elize for a wonderful adventure.
